Text in Turf is wrapped in quotes: "hello" for a string, 'a' for a single character. This error means Turf found the opening quote and then ran out of line (or out of file) before it found the matching closing one.
Example
mut greeting: string = "hello; // the closing " is missingmut letter: char = 'a; // the closing ' is missingAdd the missing quote:
Example
mut greeting: string = "hello";mut letter: char = 'a';Two things worth knowing:
- A string can’t continue onto the next line. If you want a line break inside your text, write
\nin it:"first line\nsecond line". - A quote inside your text needs a backslash in front of it, or Turf thinks the text has ended there:
"she said \"hi\"".
When this error appears, look at the line it points to first. Very often the quote is right there, one character short of where you meant it to be.
